On Tuesday, 11th of August, in the municipal exhibition center of Batsi, took place the opening of the exhibition about the LIFE project, which is realized by the Municipality of Andros with the contribution of the LIFE financial instrument of the European Union.
The exhibition will be open daily from 6 p.m. till 11 p.m. until the 6th of September. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about LIFE actions through photos and printed material, as well as watch a thirty-minute long documentary about the project and the rich environment of Andros island. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about how they can volunteer for the LIFE project and find out what to do in case they find an injured bird and how the project’s First Aid Center can help.
The opening was attended by the Mayor of Andros, Mr. Theodosis Sousoudis, the president of the Municipal Council, Mr. Kyriakos Thomas, the Deputy Mayor in charge of finances, Mr. Christos (Takis) Vourazeris, the delegated for the project, member of the Municipal Council Ms. Eleni Politou, the President of the municipal Public Entity for Social Protection, Culture and Sports, Ms. Athena Tsatsomoirou, the members of the Municipal Council Ms. Anna Volika and Ms. Niki Mamai, the President of the local community, Mr. Costas Petrisis, the President of the association of rented rooms of Batsi, Mr. Stelios Polykratis, and many others.
We remind that the Project Information Center in Ormos Korthiou is open daily to anyone who wishes to visit it.
